Default Pre- The Marked material

I just found out that a friend of mine works with a guy who used to make music with Billy... apparently it's pre-The Marked, although Billy used some of it with the Marked (something about the band changing it's name and losing one guy because they relocated to Florida... I think the guy my friend works with is the one who didn't go down to Florida with the Marked). Anyways, my friend looked into this for me and the guy offered to give me the stuff he has... 3 or so hours of recordings, some which haven't been released.
My question is... is this worth pursuing? Or should I be flamed as a n00b because all you hardcore fans already have this material?
(I'm a longtime lurker, been through a few usernames, never post. Though I'm sure that won't stop the impending flames.)

"We are currently in an exploratory phase of how/if we’re going to release the demo."
Quoted from his myspace page. And since the material he was telling me about is mostly just him and Billy, think it's safe to assume that "we" means he and Billy are in talks about releasing it?

Sad. I might not be able to come back to post links to the stuff after I get it because your flame was so traumatizing.

Yeah, Coat of Eyes is the "band" I'm referring to.
So, there's none of this material floating around already?

Speaking of the confessions, are those online still? His main website was pretty much dismantled, so I don't think they're on there anymore. Any other place where they'd be?

i wouldn't bet my bottom dollar on billy doing ANYTHING he has said he was going to do. so, try to get ahold of this stuff because, if not, it'll never come out.

Looks like it'll just be a little listening session for a friend and I... he's not comfortable distributing stuff without the Billy-OK. But he's supposedly a pretty easygoing guy, so I'm banking on the hope of him getting comfortable at my house, letting the guard down, and trusting me with a copy. I'll keep you all posted.
