Now is the time to import a car from the States, the prices in general are cheaper to begin with but when you tack on parity its even better, even with import duties, taxes, etc.. it is still thousands cheaper to buy pretty much any car from the U.S. and bring it to Canada.

There is going to be a hell of a lot of cross-border shipping this Christmas.

I'm not celebrating, I'm just saying enjoy it while its here. Travel for cheap and purchase stuff for cheap in U.S., might as well take advantage of it while its here.

That being said, if it stays at Par or worse becomes more valuable then the U.S. dollar for a prolonged period of time then there is a lot of danger there for our economy and people should be worried and not celebrating.

Not you in particular, but there are a lot of blogs/websites etc by Canadians that have been treating this like it's a wonderful thing for them

I can't believe our currency is equivalent to novelty money. I mean the monopoly dollar will probably be next in line to reach parity with our dollar.
