Default 11 years ago today, SP played the best show that they’ve played since reuniting.

Set One:
I'm Doing the Best I Can
If Only in a Dream
Mama
The Aeroplane Flies High
Hummer
Bullet with Butterfly Wings
In My Body
Fuck You (an Ode to No One)
Bleeding the Orchid
Doomsday Clock
Neverlost
Lucky 13
United States
Set Two:
Tonight, Tonight
Tarantula
Starz
Zero
Starla
Blue Skies Bring Tears
Today
1979
If All Goes Wrong
Rotten Apples
Thirty-three
Question Mark
Cherub Rock
Untitled
Encore One:
Shame
Silverfuck
The End [The Doors] (tease)
Encore Two:
With Every Light

I tried desperately to get multiple tickets to multiple Asheville shows and thought it was a dream come true that my favorite band was reuniting and playing in my town. I was bummed that I only got tickets to this show, but holy shit what a show it was. Boz was in good spirits, the crowd was on fire, and busting out TAFH and Fuck You blew me away.

It was so good that even though I took a girl that I wanted to start something with who ended up texting another dude the whole show, and even though she started saying halfway through “god, do you think they’ll finish soon? This is so long”, it was totally worth it.

I was at this too! Truly incredible, best show I've ever been to. And I saw three times in the 90s. Drove from Florida. Got in a terrible accident (for my car) on the way back. Worth it. The crowd, towards the end, felt like it was one fluid entity. And I wasn't on drugs, either.

Orange Peel, Asheville, 06/27/2007

Sounds like a cool show but I'mma be really disappointed if that first song isn't a cover of this

Most of which should’ve been on American Gothic instead of the garbage we got

I completely agree. This was one of the best SP2 shows.

The PA had multiple power failures that night, so Billy played a bunch of riffs while it was getting fixed. I was at this show. It was the only Orange Peel one I could go to since it was on a Saturday.
