Again the overview of all the venues of the “Shiny And Oh So Bright Tour” who have a visible booking status to check the actual ticket sales. And the quick estimate by the graphic depiction on 2018/04/08.

Looking on some of the venues there was not a real visible change.
Maybe the release of the first EP in May (really?) and lower ticket prices may motivate more people to buy tickets.

One reason why Radiohead could sell four times the Madison Square Garden are their much cheaper ticket prices...

I didn't actually think they would go down this low, the cheapest MikeyBamBam groupon tickets were $25 iirc.

that list of names must sting a little. for the greatest 90's band there is who was unwilling to accept anything but headlining slots at Glastonbury and co a few years ago...

Nothing to do with how relevant those bands are nowadays tho. Arcade Fire just played in Ireland and the tickets were €70.

In 2013 the Smashing Pumpkins already weren't headlining in Glastonbury anymore, had to play at a smaller stage:

The downfall in Germany:
In 2007 the Smashing Pumpkins were headliner at the famous "Rock am Ring" festival.
In 2013 they played on two smaller festivals just mentioned at the third row...

Guns'n'Roses are playing this june in Berlin at the Olympic Stadium.
The ticket prices there are between 87.00 and 170.00 Euro.

So you can guess the Smashing Pumpkins to be 85.00 Euro highest in Germany on their next tour...

How exactly does that 20 dollar ticket thing work?

A lot of big name artists on that list. Do you purchase a general 20 dollar ticket that is good for any show in advance? And then they give you seating options for each show?

It's likely you choose the show (has to be a Live Nation venue), then select the $20 option and it's like the super nosebleeds. Also probably a pretty limited amount, depending

This year at the greatest open airs in Germany:
Foo Fighters, Marilyn Manson, A Perfect Circle (without James Iha) and Thirty Seconds To Mars.
FF and even TSTM announced as headliners.

https://www.concertvisions.net/wp-co...99cef35636.png

Interesting to see that Live Nation is now involved in Germany too, cooperating at this festival. Could also have an influence on the European activities of the Smashing Pumpkins.

A Perfect Circle will do a tour in the States in October and November and gigs in Europe in December, to promote their new album. So there might be no European dates of the Smashing Pumpkins this year, as James Iha may be involved again in his band APC.

A Perfect Circle Announce More U.S. Tour Dates In Support Of New Album

The band plot more dates this fall after releasing their first album in 14 years, 'Eat The Elephant'
NATE HERTWECKGRAMMYS APR 25, 2018 - 8:24 AM
https://www.grammy.com/grammys/news/...port-new-album

The run of shows will begin Oct. 20 in Salt Lake City and hit cities across the U.S., including Denver, Austin, Atlanta, New York, and Las Vegas, before wrapping up in Phoenix on Nov. 20. This fall trek comes after a short summer tour kicking off May 12 in Somerset, Wis. and concluding May 26 in Dallas. The band also has European dates booked in June and December.

A Perfect Circle are back. Last week, the band released their first new album in 14 years, Eat The Elephant, and now they've announced more U.S. tour dates this fall.
Eat The Elephant was released April 20, marking the group's first album since 2004's Emotive. A Perfect Circle singer Maynard James Keenan explained the hiatus to Rolling Stone, saying, "Part of it was me having to step away for a while. Part of it was my winery and trying to get Tool nudged forward, and Puscifer. All those things were going on simultaneously and I just lost track of time, honestly… Anything's possible now, and we're able to blow the dust off that and go, 'Oh, yeah, we can do this.' And [guitarist] Billy [Howerdel] always has material up his sleeve."

Tickets for the new set of dates go on sale Apr. 27 via the band's website.

It's weird cause usually when you have these oldies bands playing, they'll at least have some current footage of the group for the commercials. The newest footage from the Smashing Pumpkins one is 1996 lol.

1996 footage from the Smashing Pumpkins WITH D'ARCY?

They still try to sell the show showing up all four original members?

As far as the 20 dollar live nation promo... you can only purchase these to 6 of the SP shows.

Chesapeake Energy Arena - Oklahoma City, OK
KFC Yum Center - Louisville, KY
American Airlines Arena - Miami, FL
Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Indianapolis, IN
CenturyLink Center - Omaha, NE
Denny Sanford Premier Center - Sioux Falls, SD

Probably the venues that are selling the least. And they are horrible tickets. Like farthest possible away from the stage.

Nah, they only use shots of the other 3. It's still kind of weird. It's like " COME AND SEE THIS BAND LIVE!!! and it's all of this 25+ year old footage shown. Can you imagine? Some guy sitting there who's never heard of the pumpkins going "Holy shit! This band looks dope!" then the goes to the show and it's these guys in their 50's up on stage.

I don't get why they make such a point of hyping that. Do they actually figure that Jeff is going to be a selling point for anyone anywhere? If they're just being transparent then it would make more sense to advertise Jack Bates, since he's filling the role of an original member not partaking.

I think it's just because he's a current member of the band and not a touring musician like Bates

definitely not worth the voiceover tho
