Red face Ceiling Granny by Mogwai is pure classic SP.

On their new album which is out tomorrow - sounds like an unreleased Smashing Pumpkins demo. Big chunky riff which will sound great in a live setting if we ever get to listen to bands live again.

That intro is too repetitive to be SP.

....And the intro is the whole song.

the two reviews i saw today say that this track is gish-like.

What's correct is that it's not as good as The Microdance's latest album, or, in fact, any of their releases.

What's incorrect is the spelling: it's Our Love Noire. The implication being that the blackness of the love is a female thing.

Thank you though, greatly appreciated.

It really isn't as good as The Microdance's latest album though.

And just throwing this out there but it's not as good as anything from Cyr, Shiny and oh so bright volume 1: no past no future no sun, Monuments to an Elegy, Oceania, Teargarden by kalaedyscope volume 2 The Solstice Bear, Teargarden by kaeladyscope volume 1: songs from a sailor, American Gothic, Zeitgeist Red, Zeitgeist Blue, Zeigeist Green, Zeitgeist Silver, or even any of the old shit Smashing Pumpkins released before they broke through with Zeitgeist

If that is genuine, I would like to genuinely say thank you.

It's difficult to get a positive reaction for your band's music here, especially if you're being a dick and trying to get a rise out of people by saying it's better than anything that's brought up. Which I do not believe!

Although, sometimes a strategy like that is worth the effort considering we've had great reviews and sold literally 11 copies of an album that was released last July. I won't even go into Spotify and how bad the royalties are, I'll just say they're about 10% of the figures bandied about by both Spotify and people that haven't released on that platform!

I mean, I love Mogwai and that was my immediate thought this morning when I heard it. Great track imo.
