How is the Cyr vinyl

This has been received

Expected black, but it is the “love colour” vinyl. It’s like marbly pink, pretty friekin dope color if u ask me. Just started to spin it. Will write back with 1st impressions, tips/faves Etc

Bass is more heavy on this? But could be down to my speakers which emphasize bass a bit to compensate for the fact they are lil bookshelf dicks, not like proper whatevers with a sub to help em and shit

Hmm. Well, i do appreciate how anno santana slams on it. It’s fuzzier, chunkier than the spotify thru earbuds way. But. Having to sit through the 50% of this album i have deemed to be terrible, is not a great way to experience. Like when Cyr (the song the titular) came on, i was like, nope, cannot fucken allow this in my space. Too ashamed of the other living beings in my vicinity hearing this utter BARFAGE

But dopamine was fun, Anno Santana. So ok, if u have any fondness for this album i would say it’s worth it on vinyl just for the different sorta soundstage. But be prepared to hop up and skip tracks or flip discs like way more than with a regular album that doesn’t 50% suck ass

but Dopamine is as enjoyable as pissing blood. Cyr is better and it's virtually unlistenable.

Granted. Sure. But like it’s a pretty gritty production in the instrumental, with some deep awful synth caverns that just make my particles disintegrate a bit, there’s a particular arpeggio under i think maybe “under a distance i can’t make,” that’s total blink-and-u-miss-it detail but this awful little like Mario brothers sad bowser arpeggio is tucked under the big sad empty dance floor cavernous synth, in this layered way that for me actually evokes (blasphemy be damned) SD itself, but in any event gosh sorry but it’s one of my favorite synth moments on the whole total cyr


Plus can u not appreciate the very odd vocal melody. If it was a jazz singer lady, it would be a 10/10 mood piece, if u ask me. This is where im willing to see the songwriting strength underneath the truly abhorrent big willie vocal.
