It would have to. Otherwise the timeline doesn't add up, unless he's trying to rewrite history and say he didn't have a relationship with Courtney (which probably contributed to Kurt ODing in Rome)

They were together in the early days of the band, they split up and he got with a random groupie chick or two (he writes about it in the Confessions) and then Courtney, then from Courtney back to Chris. The part in Confessions about Courtney sending flowers to his wedding and him throwing away the card before his wife saw it was telling.

I'm glad he's open to the idea of rerecording Oceania with Jimmy on drums. I'd definitely listen to that, even if it were just an EP of some choice cuts.
