Default Vice Principals staring Danny McBride

First episode premiered yesterday on HBO. Holy shit is it fucking funny! It's the same writing and production team who made Eastbound and Down. I think it has the potential to be even better.

I was seriously cracking up the whole episode. If you don't have HBO you gotta download this.

Excellent. I could use a good laugh. Is he doing what he usually does, but this time as a Vice Principal? I hope so.

hahaha exactly. A lot of the comedy is a dread-wringer from Eastbound and Down except now he's a loser vice principal. The character reeks of Kenny Powers, but instead of a "rip-off" it's more of a hilarious nod to him.

Truly great shit.

I just love the guys dead-eyed, angry, quick wit. And he always just digs himself a hole and just doubles due down to his own almost delusional sense of self and his vulnerability.

We need a Montebot AI that reads his posts and learns his language/patterns.

nah... spelling just sometimes sucks. If it was a Monteism it would be spelt wrong AND not even phonetically sound.

The obvious root etymology does fit well with other phrasings: dread and gone/the grateful dread/night of the living dread and of course Dread Ringer, my new reggae project.

The style of humor has that uncanny ability to squeeze from the viewer a sense of foreboding.

hahaha episode 5 is fucking priceless!

This shows definitely a T.V. treasure... But it's getting a lot of bad press simply because the 2 main white-guy characters are plotting against a Black woman... So in most reviewers eyes that makes it racist and sexist...

Holy fuck... Political Correctness is getting outta control.

If you guys haven't watched the show because of the controversy I can assure you it's all bullshit and that the shows genuinely hilarious. Walton Goggins is the co-star and the guys a fantastic actor. It's hard not to laugh just looking at him http://media2.giphy.com/media/l0HlLY...6i64/giphy.gif

Season 2 finally started on Sunday.

It's only a 2 season project, so this will be it.

Good god, the first episode back is hysterical. It's a brilliant show. It oddly doesn't seem to be receiving much acclaim though.

Any one else check out the episode last night?

sounds like the perfect candidate to cast for into lead role for A NEW ALIEN FILM.

Holy hell, is anyone else watching this yet? Fucking DO IT.

Oh god, the episode last night was sheer hilarity. For those who weren't sold with the first season, the 2nd seasons been hysterical. I actually think it's been funnier than Eastbound and Down.

Some people mentioned that it was a little odd seeing Danny Mcbride playing a wimpy character, but the 2nd season he's on the warpaths and oh man... It's comedy gold.

Have you purchased your Boris tickets? You should: they have been playing farewell lately.

Nah, not yet, if I go I'll probably just buy a ticket at the door. It's on Canadian thanksgiving so I'm not sure if I'll be able to swing it. Still totally up in the air though.

i'm not a fan of boorish jobs or crude for the sake of being an edgelord, but danny mcbride always has a knack to make even that kind of person someone to root for. he does a good job of that and i enjoy the show.

many thumbs up.

i remember never being excited to watch eastbound and down when my friends would get together and watch it, but towards the end of every episode i would think it was really good

The industry rumor mill has it that McBride once considered adding a second character to his repertoire.

I think Sundays episode was my favorite of the series. Kid: "are we supposed to draw Frankenstein or Frankensteins monster?" Mcbride: "Frankenstein has a monster?" *Kids all start cracking up* Mcbride: Shut the fuck up! SHUT UP!

And that whole Detective Willows bit was absolutely hysterical. Mcbride always just has the best delivery.

I don't think the best comedic minds really have to be able to branch out to play different types of characters. You look at Jim Carrey, Chris Farley, Will Farrel ETC... They're all pretty much just a variation of the same character.
