Zwan
full band interview
2002-12-20
Toronto, Canada

i've got these two cd-rs.
one is the full interview and a short track of billy announcing the premiere of mary star of the sea. i believe the interview is done for the radio station the edge 102.1 in toronto.
the other cd are edits from the same interview, split in separate tracks, with some chatting and goofing around edited out. i can't be bothered to check it, but i assume if you get the full interview, you have it all. i uploaded the other cd too, just in case anyone would be interested.

all i remember is that jimmy gets called twice in a row during the interview. ("i'm on the radio. i will call you back later.")

i'm not sure where these came from; what the story behind them is. the ebay seller claimed these came from someone at the record label in canada. dunno. i guess that's not impossible.
they look crap. like someone made a copy for themselves and had an afternoon of fun decorating them. but i didn't think this was out there, so it's good enough.

i've uploaded FLAC and MP3 (V0) versions of each cd: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/q6v...2-20_interview

this is what the cds look like:

nice to know that the band was still on good terms with each other at the end of 2002. at the end of 2002 they had only played 25/27-some shows? that's insane.

Alan Cross interviewed the band on December 20th at some unknown location. No fans were allowed to attend the interview. But I believe it is being broadcasted again.

CAIC, do you own or know more about this one, too?

I wonder if it's the same interview.

wow, that's crazy, that a thread about it from back in 2002 still exists. ha!

i didn't know about that "world premiere" disc, but that could very well be (parts of) the same interview. seems likely.

i don't believe that they were. things must've been really rotten already at that time.
