Not me personally, thanks, I have them too somewhere, plus I fucking hate 2 of those 4 White Crosses EP tracks and prefer other recs of the other 2. Not a fan of that tour in general, SBD doesn't make it any better.
I just wasn't sure if it "should be/has to be" circulated, or if people still have the option to purchase the tracks of that EP. |

Alright, so we've got a list of things we have, things we want. Since we're planning on creating individual torrents for each item, might as well get started on the ones we already have.
Was there consensus on standardizing the format and file labeling? Should they be consistent, ie, should each .flac file be named in a certain way? I guess for releases that are already out there in .flac and complete, they should be left as-is. So if there's something on zomb that has all the tracks, is in flac, and hasn't been remasterbated by 13, then we don't make any changes, other than potentially adding a txt file with complete info. Though a quick look at zomb, I'm not sure I can find anything that meets this condition. For .shn, we convert to .flac? For full disc .flacs, we break it up? I recall there being disagreement about breaking up full disc flacs and instead just ******* the .cue file. I see the appeal in keeping things as they are, so I wouldn't totally object to that. But I feel like CD is a dead format, and the kids who don't already have these demos and such that come seeking them out aren't going to be burning them to disc. So have the files torrented in the way that they will be used, so you don't have to keep one set of files to seed, and another set of files to listen to. This would encourage seeding. Do we create standard txt file that includes as much info about each release. Should it mention that the release is part of a set of all demos? |

I would say make everything in .Flac, as its supported by lots of devices.
It it is a full disc, break it up into separate .Flac files for each song. a TXT file would be great to add to every release, even with simple links to spfc.org Also, If a bootleg cover art is available for that recording, add it as a folder.jpg and also embed it into the flac's metadata. This is a great way for people to be able to place the files into devices or whatever, and it will display in a nice way. I Tag all my audio files this way, so when i import them into something like XBMC (which is now called KODI) it all displays well. If there are no bootleg covers for some of the releases, we could get people to make some. This is time consuming I know, I've been doing Graphic Design for years, and occasionally help out bootleg/band sites when I have the time. But then again, the way forums work, I am sure whoever decides to make the time and effort to help make some covers, will be met with criticism, lol, ahh the harshness of forums, gotta love it |

yeah, back in the day i did some for Zwan shows, and NIN..... ended up seeing 3 of them on ebay, lol, I think ill stick to making my own covers for personal use, as some of the bootleg pumpkins covers are pretty shit anyways.

is this ever going to happen, or would it be easier for people to just request an item via google drive or drop box?
i'd love to start listening to all of these old demos again. |

there are no updates besides what's already in this thread.
the hold up is that nobody is in a hurry and everyone has a lot of other things in their life that are more important. you'll just have to wait until the stars align. |

with regards to PI+F: i transferred it, and gave it to StArSeEd to edit and distribute it.
i don't remember specifically what gear i used, but it was a commercial tape deck > SB Audigy or SB Live > WAV. StArSeEd did some magic and then put it out there. i also possessed the original VHS' for Fruit Bat Salad (3 shows from 1992) and Fruit Bat Salad II (Live video of SD songs in order from various concerts). i didn't transfer those, but i gave them to someone who gave them to someone else to transfer. there was also a VHS of 1993.08.13. if i recall, it was a full video. don't remember if it was PRO or AUD or even the overall quality though. not sure what ever became of that either. sadly, i no longer have these gems.
