the four person race for two positions has turned into a three person race because one guy is leaving for ontario. one person is a shoe-in because he is a genius, and the other person has a job offer at a an engineering consulting firm literally half a block from my apartment. if the latter gets the job over me, thus turning down the job across the street, it should be mine for the poaching.

i'm taking electrical engineering technology. there is a work placement i need to do to finish the program, and this company--where i'd being doing electrical consulting and automation--is looking to hire on permanently after the work term.

i guess if i failed out of school, i'd could still do the work term, but i wouldn't imagine the employer would want to hire me on full time if i don't have my diploma. i'm also a licensed electrician, so that is something i guess.
