Default Lets take Teargarden as a complete album...

These songs are not good, and what's more, it isn't fun waiting for them; it's more like writhing uncomfortably while waiting for some poor sap in a horror film to get his head lopped off. The ending in these slasher-flick moments, and similarly in SP3.0's career, is never good.

So I propose the following, and I'm intending on doing it:

Lets just tune the fuck out from Billyworld for about 2 years. No visits to sp.com, no talking in the SP section of Netphoria, and no attending live shows. Just forget about SP3.0 and get on with our lives; God knows there is better music out there and given the quality of SP3.0, it isn't hard to find. And it shouldn't be hard to avoid SP, seeing as that Billy doesn't get TV / magazine / news time anymore for anything other than his girlfriends.

And then, in two years, just head on over to smashingpumpkins.com again. That way we can see how the thing sits as an actual album, and we don't have to subject ourselves to this Chinese-water-torture of an "album-concept" that Billy has so brilliantly come up with.

True, the album will probably still be shit, but at least I won't have strung myself along for the entire two years in the process.

Case in point. God, there's so much tight music out there. Why do I even bother putting up with Billy anymore?

I've listened to the first two songs exactly once each, and this song I decided to try a second time, but that's as far as it goes. At most this thing is going to waste like 3 hours of my time over the course of several years. And I know it's all going to be terrible, but the listening aspect is the only painful part for me.

if billy released that AC song next and it wasn't an AC song and the vocals were mixed the same but he was singing on it, everyone would hate it

I've been considering exactly this for a while - would love to do it but I know the OCD in me would pull me back in, probably after a month.

It's all like checking an ex-girlfriend's facebook five years after break-up.

You know she moved on and she's a different person but you can't help doing it.

Nice metaphor. Or simile. My English is no longer what it used to be.

It's the same reason why people enjoy watching a car accident happen.
