the in-print NME interview quoted billy as "nobody expected me to make a great album again" or some such, babbled about it being his strongest material for more than 10 years (presumably since Machina) and then gave it 6/10! i think only one other album got a lower score, heh.

This is a great review. Giving the songs some credit, while admitting that Corgan's vocals kinda suck, and Byrne's drumming is forgettable
