and i won't lie i have been listening to a lot of Charli XCX. the album isn't so good, it's no Body Talk, but there's some pretty solid jams on there in this kind of smoky dance hall goth kind of way

He has been making music for over 5 years with that name. Not exactly flavor of the month but I understand he may be new to you, as his popularity has only recently happened. He thinks it's funny that people think badlands is his first album.

Lol griefer

There's been a lot of comebacks this year from artists that hadn't released any new albums for a while.

Yea but the new one blows it out of the water. Its more of a cohesive experience. Badlands was basically a collection of singles and rerecorded tracks from other releases.

New Editors and White Lies, new National, and Savages. Great year for post punk.

Also enjoying the new Weeknd single "Kiss Land"

Sounds like The National's "Trouble Will Find Me" is very good, haven't gotten around to listen to it yet.

It's a B- album. Solid but not as good as High Violet or Alligator. About as good as Boxer.

Yeezus and Monomania are my 1 & 2 but I'm not sure which is which. A lot of other really solid music out too but I'm not quite sure yet what makes my top 5 or 10 and in what order yet. I'd say this already the best year in music since 2009.
