He looks like a poor man's Maynard James Keenan in that first pick which is pretty awful considering MJK is a rather trollish looking dude

Roids.

Kenny Aronoff looks like a guy that goes to the gym and does lots of free weights. Seriously guy, you get a lot bigger than that on steroids. Aronoff is still spindly but muscular.

#1 Studio Drummer - DRUM! Magazine Reader's Poll
#3 All-Around Drummer - Modern Drummer Magazine Reader's Poll

Note: For the years 1997 to 1999 Kenny was unable to be included in the Modern Drummer Pop/Mainstream Rock category due to the following limitation on winning: "Modern Drummer Magazine Readers Polls before 2000 included a listing called MD's Honor Roll. That listing consisted of drummers and percussionists whose talent, musical achievement, and lasting popularity placed them first in various Readers Poll categories for five or more years. Those placed on the Honor Roll were ineligible in subsequent Polls. However, in recognition of the new millennium - along with the fact that many Honor Roll members are still leading artists in their field -- we've wiped the slate clean as of this year's poll. We'll let the wins fall where they may for the next few years, before possibly instituting the Honor Roll once again."
