A thought that crossed my mind... what the shows will be like if they tour this album next year? Could be an extremely large amount of Corgan wandering around with no guitar

No cos any tour they do will probably be a greatest hits with a few new songs. So expect Cyr (the song) at least, maybe Colour of Love.

And then it'll be the MCIS tour with no new material at all.

Then Shiny 3 will hopefully be the guitar album, which they could tour.

Isn't Shiny 3 more disjointed leftovers? AND THEN there's going to be a full Machina style double album that will be "like the old stuff" lol dream on.

I don't know about "sweet" but his vocals are great on Dulcet. Vocals on Cyr are a massive leap over everything else SP2. Credit where it's due.

Add Zeitgest and Zwan to that list. And I guess FutureEmbrace. He's been singing like that since Zwan. The last "old style" vocal (officially released) was Untitled.

I keep on hearing about Shiny 3, but not Shiny 2. Are they skipping Shiny 2? And then there's also the album that's somehow a sequel to both Machina and MCIS, which has nothing to do with any of the Shinies, correct?

Yeah always thought Untitled sounded like a Zwan song. Probably a good thing the band ended when it did. Let’s be honest, SP never got back together. Post 2007 is just Billy solo dragging the band name through the mud.

the thing is....

Zeigeist and Oceania had at least a few decent songs each.. well written songs that were sometimes or often destroyed in the studio due to production..

but the songs from Cyr and the last album whatever it was called Shiny something.. are just really total garbage like Muse-lite and Coldplay-lite.. but without anything sincere, or meaningful, or memorable..

it's so fucking sad what has happened with Billy.. although on a personal level he's a Trump asshole.. but he seems to have it all now.. money, some fame, and kids and a wife.. so good for him. but this music.. just cannot say how disappointing it is as someone who grew up with the Pumpkins...

I'm still struggling to understand who these new songs are meant to be for? Surely he can read the room a bit better than this? It's been 4 and a half years since James walked out on stage with him and they're still to release anything that sounds remotely like them collaborating or celebrating the sound they're known for. Just baffling, the whole thing.

Muse and Coldplay? Are you for real? They sound nothing like any of them. They sound a lot like Puscifer. By the way, James was working with them at the same time that they were recording Cyr.

I was mocking Billy more than anything else.. not directly comparing.. I don't listen to Muse and Coldplay.. but both have a reputation for cheeseeeeeeeeeeeeee

I mean Cry is NOT good Coldplay or Muse.. I've heard a couple good songs from both. I'm saying Cry is bad cheese

Muse and coldplay are still much more accepted and loved and all around the radiostations whereas the pumpkins dont play any role.
Yeqh muse and coldplay make cheesy music but at least the majority likes it.... ..... when people hear the first seconds of dopamine or wytcch zhey change the transmitter cause this voice sounds so annoying...

Bolly always had a szrange voice, but now that it is up front it really shows how annoying it can be....

Bury your shitty voice in the mix.......
