So, Ryan Adams has a new album coming out in September - what are the odds that it will be decent, ya think? Dude is insanely hit and miss.
Furthermore, what are your top three favorite albums by him? Mine: 1.) Heartbreaker 2.) Cardinology (has just recently grown on me, so, so much) 3.) Gold |

1. Heartbreaker 2. Cold Roses 3. Jacksonville City Nights I actually think Gold and Cardinology are two of his weakest efforts |

Love that dude. I even like Rock n' Roll which tends to be commonly loathed. One hell of a pastiche-album, that.
Heartbreaker is probably his most consistently great album, but I find myself listening to stuff like 29 and Suicide Handbook alot more. Such an underrated singer too. It doesn't get much better than this: |

He cranked through about 14 songs, with a few snyde comments in between, and then took off after 80 minutes and said with such an awesome tone: "It was really, really exciting to play for you guys tonight." Zero encore. Couldn't blame him, but it did suck for those that were genuinely excited to be there: which I'm sure he felt disconnected from, as they let the VIP season ticket yuppies in first, so they're taking up the front 70% of the venue. |

Anybody have the Life after Deaf collection in an uploadable format? I'm flexible - MP3, flac, whatever... beggars can't be choosers.

Not sure if anybody else is hunting for that - but if you ever is, just say the word and I'll share freely. Good Samaritan on another board shot em my way.

Here ya have it, hombres - fully worth a download. It's unfortunately big enough to require a RAR-ing, just a bit over 2GB. But they're all there, artwork n' all.

finally heard this and it suckkkkkkks balllllllls. 1984 is at least ok. read a couple of interviews and it sucks him and the cardinals never got along, basically cold roses, 29, jacksonville and cardinology 1-4 are all the ones i love (besides heartbreaker) and i think that is also everything they put out together

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about it. I really liked 1984, and the Jacksonville 7" is supposed to be more in the vein of Cold Roses which is my favorite of all his albums. I heard the self titled album is supposed to be MUCH better than the last handful of albums though.

Yeah, they probably should have just quit after the 2005 trilogy. They were never going to beat Cold Roses or Jacksonville City Nights. They should have quit while they were ahead.
