Fire Walk With Me is a pretty big disappointment no matter how much you love the series.

yeah. the movie answers too much. when watching the series you may think it's too calm... but, once episode 8 is on you will see what Im talking about.

Absolutely watch the series before the movie. You will not want to watch the series if you watch the movie first.

go to your local store and buy the Gold Box.
you know Mulholland Drive was intended for a TV series too. Now I see why they thought it was a bad idea. I can't imaging what commercials would benefit from airing during a Lynch time slot |

"As a companion to the Twin Peaks series, it's likely to satisfy no one, resolving nothing, creating a tone far-removed from the series, with only a fraction of the cast returning and one key player poorly replaced. As a result, Fire Walk With Me feels half-hearted and unnecessary, the work of a top director spinning his wheels."

"Fire Walk With Me was greeted at the Cannes Film Festival with booing from the audience and met with almost unanimously negative reviews in the United States.[1] The film fared poorly in the United States at the box office, partially because it was released almost a year after the television series was canceled (due to a sharp ratings decline in the second season), partially due to its incomprehensibility to the uninitiated and the fact that the film only appeals to the very subset of the Twin Peaks series.[2] However, it was an overwhelming commercial hit in Japan.[3] The film also disappointed many devotees of the TV series due to its darker tone, lack of humor and absence of resolution to the series’ cliff-hanger ending."

one of the most enticing aspects of lynch is not knowing what the fuck takes place but still being interesting enough to care. If you don't see this you shouldn't reply.

i'm a sheep for giving my own opinion and also the opinions of a lot of critics and fans? i'm only trying to give D a fair insight into what a lot of people thought about the movie and the series because frankly, your own view doesn't really correspond with what i and many other people (among them critics) think. now he can make a good choice thanks to this,

metacritic score for the golden compass: 51%
metacritic score for i am legend: 61%. that's an average of 5-6 out of ten for both movies, which is hardly saying that they rocked. |
