sounds sort of like Afterlife from Reflektor. also sort of has a similar vibe to their early music. It could be indicative of a less dark, heavy album this time around?

I'm excited about this release. They're coming to Independence, MO, on their tour. Thinking about seeing them if I have the money (I won't have any money) because I've seen them in 2007 and 2010 and 2014, so why not?

definitely hear Abba as well.

I wasn't big on Reflektor but I am always down for new music from Arcade Fire. Funeral, Neon Bible and The Suburbs are modern classics in my book.

Also, fuzzy, stop being like that. Give them a chance, you might like it and it might broaden your horizon. Seriously. Go queue up Keep The Car Running or Wake Up or Sprawl II or something.

The song is ass. Something about them really irks me these days. And I love how we're all supposed to be like "oh it sounds like ABBA! Just good pop. Bless their dancey hearts"

The 2nd half of Reflektor is significantly better than the first. If the whole album was that solid it might be their best IMO

Yeah, I really enjoyed the back half of Reflektor.

Really, it's just too f'ing long of an album though. And a lot of the songs on the middle just kinda blend together.

It peeved me that they made the album like 30 seconds too long to burn onto a CDR, and the last minute or so is just ambient noise. So pretentious. I edited out the noise and burned that shit to a CDR

Motherfucker I've been an arcade fire fan since I caught them in a 150-capacity club early on the Funeral tour, know everything about the band inside and out, and you come in here fighting me over hands down the worst fucken lyric win butler ever tearfully murmured? And which you can't even remember which fucken album is it from?

Sheesh: take that friendship rainbow and ram it up your ram27 fool

Inarguably, win butlers lyrics and preachy ponderousness are the weakest link of this whole total bandshow

Wish they'd let Regine sing more often for once, fucken sexist

i just hate the way this hipster band sounds

i got up to 1 minute into that song, killed it cause i couldn't take it anymore

then tried harder, put it back up, killed it again 40 secs later

not for me i guess
