The anchor introduced it as "some of the most memorable sound bites of 2007"

And with a backdrop of pulsing, somewhat ominous drone-y music, the first clip was a portion of the Miss America contestant giving her answer about The Iraq and South Africa and people not having maps which isn't funny any more after the 500th time.

And then there was some footage of a flood and a woman who I think had her kid swept away in the water. And then people who had their homes destroyed in the fires in California.

But then....they went back to the Miss America clip.

And then they showed helicopter of the bridge collapse in Minneapolis.

And then more Miss America.

And then they showed a local soldier who had come home from Iraq who had one of his legs blown off.

And then more Miss America.

And then Larry Craig giving his I'm not gay, I never have been gay speech.

And then they finished with the end of Miss America.

I'm still not sure if it was the most wildly inappropriate, misguided thing I've seen in my life or some sort of snarky political statement put together by an intern looking to be fired. Anyway when the shot went back to the anchor he looked absolutely horrified either way.

So anyway what do you guys want to talk about.
