Vocal take on the reissue was notably crappier.

Apparently Gooch yelled at them and compared them to Mark David Chapman.

From the publisher's "ByStarlight Site" comment:

Interesting Smashing Pumpkins facts revealed in the interview:

* The reissue for Machina I & II will be released by the end of 2013. There might also be a reissue of 'The Greatest Hits' by the end of 2013.
* A DVD for 'The Final Show' that was taped on December 2nd, 2000 at The Metro will be released as part of a reissue.
* Billy would like to release The Chicago Kid material in 2014.
* Billy could do a reissue of TheFutureEmbrace in 2015.

Question for Corgan's next Q&A on Instagram:

With the Machina reissue being seven years behind the original announced release date:
Does it make sense to talk about time frames anymore for the reissues?

Maybe The Bald Lord speaks in mystic riddles following the eschatological day-year principle of apocalyptic prophecies such as those found in the tomes of daniel, zechariah, and thol-dimmuloth?

therefore, if one day = 360 years, then one year = 360 centuries.

in other words, like the second coming of christ, the machina reissue will drop soon!

if Strength in Numbers had been on Zeitgeist, it would've singlehandedly saved the album. I'm guessing that's one of the demos he derisively referred to in the Inside the Zeitgeist doc as just sounding like a copy of an old era of Pumpkins. It's so good that it's no surprise that Bill hated it.
