I think you're basically looking at Quiet vs Spaceboy vs Sweet Sweet. I'd narrow it down to Quiet vs Spaceboy. Sweet, while obviously twee, is a much needed breather between Silverfuck and Luna.

Anyways, yes - this rules. Quiet was a great pick. Reminds me of a thought I had re the Shiny tour. How cool would it have been if they did one random deep cut each night during the encore along with Solara and Baby Whateverthehellthatwas. Each show has a singular unique cut? That would have made that tour way fun to watch unfold. With James and Jimmy in tow, there's NO reason why they can't do that nightly. Re-learn one old song and go for it... then hope that Jeff and Jack don't fart on it.

Can't believe I am about to say this, but that is actually not a half bad performance of "Quiet". Nothing like what they played the other night, but I have seen some of those "VIP Show" videos and this seems like one of the better ones. I have seen videos of them playing "Rhinoceros," "Porcelina of the Vast Oceans," and "Starla" at these things, and they are high school cover band level bad. This is at least has a tiny bit of energy.

There was one everyone posts where Mike fucked up the tempo and you can see Jeff look back at him in confusion.

Spaceboy is one of my favorite songs in their whole catalog. Mellotron is a mood and his vocals are in full on moonfaced cherub mode in a good way. Very heartfelt. It really works well in sequence on the album too, after the slow burn of Mayonaise and before Silverfuck
