Default New Chamberlin Track

http://absolutelygroundbreaking.blog...lin-track.html

From forthcoming album with saxophonist Frank Catalano; it's full-power jazz.

That website is some piss poor design.

What a weak track though, some true elevator music right there. You could probably have an elementary school student or mike bryne to play on that no problem. What a waste for Chamberlin.

So it's probably a common technique, but that very first sound reminds me of Porcelina.

He should have picked a track where you can actually hear that it's Jimmy Chamberlin on drums.

I could have probably taken more than a couple of minutes to post. sozzard. I should have said it's full power [trad'] jazz, as opposed to his more jazz fusion infused playing in the Complex.

That was pretty good. Jimmy's playing is fairly subdued but still a very enjoyable listen. The saxophone playing really stood out.

it's not my type of music, so I cannot really judge it beyond saying that Jimmy sounds good but the music in all sounds boring

but the point here isnt that you can hear jimmy - jimmy is not the feature member of the band.

I don't know where to drop this clip.

Jimmy could release a track composed only of 1000 farts rattling around in a coffee can and it would still be better than Pumpkins 7.1 or whatever version we're on.

All that practice just to play drums in your moms living room. Sad.

Also he looks exhausted and ready to puke less then halfway through.

" A small window into the greatness of Jimmy Chamberlin"

Billy Corgan praised his former Smashing Pumpkins bandmate Jimmy Chamberlin on his Twitter account yesterday […]

BillCo fired Chamberlin in 2009, and in 2010 told Rolling Stone, “Jimmy is a destructive human being, and people who are destructive break things. I don’t see me reaching the highest levels of my creativity if I’m unhealthy and if I have unhealthy people around me.[...]”
After BillCo told Jimmy he was out, Jimmy unloaded on Billy. BillCo responded, “I was like, ‘Fuck you.’ Go ride around in a white van for the rest of your life.”

Could a Corgan/Chamberlin reunion be on the cards, with talk of 25th anniversary shows coming up?
Unlikely, right?
But why do this at all, I don't get it.

Maybe he is just being a decent human being/trying to build bridges with an old friend?

It's not always about the band.

Exactly. I'm surprised they bothered to write an "article" about it.

People watch and appreciate youtube videos all the time.
