Bad? Nah. The thing about Jimmy Eat World (for me) is that I found them at the exactly perfect entry point: at age 17 with their biggest album. I'm lucky and grateful that they are a band that has "grown up" alongside me, so I know it's definitely not nostalgia. Even still, I have a hard time imagining a full grown adult* listening to Bleed American or Clarity for the first time and getting the "feels" like I did/do when I hear that music.

ANYWAY maybe you'll see the show and come away liking a song or two. They put on a high energy and fun show, so I doubt you'll be too terribly bored even if you don't recognize the material. Do come back and let us know how it was.

*I believe Eulogy is the exception to my rule, so as always, take what I say with a grain of salt

Strong disagree!!!!!!!

And I guess I’m the exception to the rule but I was also
Dealing with a lot of heavy extenuating adult circumstances when I found them and so that could have contributed.

I think Delivery, 555, Recommit, and Congratulations are all time greats. And that’s half the record.

I'll go to bat for 555, Stay (All The Way), Diamond and Surviving.

I don't hate the album or anything, it just feels a little weak as a whole, especially coming off of Integrity Blues.

Ben Gibbard has done a ton of them. I obviously loved Jim’s. Excited to see more.

Ok so these are not live streams they are pre-recorded live performances. Whatever it was still fun and good and I will take it.

Did I do a virtual meet and greet? Yes. Was it a waste of money? Probably yes. Do I regret it? No. They seem legit nice and that is extremely refreshing.

I've definitely thrown more money than usual at bands during this pandemic via Bandcamp, merch, etc. I want them to still be around when this is over.
