Siamese Dream Demos - Quiet and Other Songs: A Collection of Songs for Album II
hi, does anyone know much about this recording,
from spfc.org: http://www.spfc.org/band/studio.html?session_id=16 This is a tape of Siamese Dream demos submitted to Virgin Records in 1992, called "Quiet and Other Songs: A Collection of Songs for Album II." Doorstep is an early version of Meladori Magpie and featured a full-band arrangement. Suicide Kiss was said to have evolved into a number of different songs, including Geek USA. Hello Kitty Kat was at this time simply titled Kitty Kat. ----- The songs are listed on the site, i have a few odd songs, but i was wondering if anyone had the complete tape in flac or shn format, i have quiet in shn format so far but the complete recording would be excellent. i can trade some good stuff in return. thanks |

yeah, there's pretty much only one listenable copy of this, and you have to listen to it under strict surveillance. which means no taping. which means your copy of quiet is fake.
suicide kiss afaik evolved into geek usa and mouths of babes (lyrically only, though). it may have branched off into some other songs, but i haven't thought that hard about it. |

I haven't heard it but I can almost guarantee that the version of Quiet you have is from a live performance not a demo. Can't remember all the exact details but it's from a british radio show or something like that.

I have demos of "Hello Kitty Kat", "Cherub Rock", and "Rocket"; though I don't know if it's from these recording sessions or not...

I have fakes for Quiet, Cherub Rock, Today, Disarm and Rocket.
The Kitty Kat I have is the same as the one on Mashed Potatoes. |

they really don't sound like live performances in the way of actual stadium shows....they're probably live in-house radio broadcasts or somthing...
