He looks appropriately humble for a small dog and yet not pathetically timid. It must be hard to strike a good balance for small dogs because nearly all of the ones I've met have been overconfident and annoying, or pathetic and riddled with anxiety and annoying. Don't see many normal, confident small dogs who don't bark at you and jump on you, and also don't hide under furniture and run away if you look directly at them.
This dog looks like he would be happy to do his own thing and not be scared or needy. I like the look of this dog. Happy to sit next to you on the sofa; no need to sit on your lap and lick at your face; no need to scramble about and run away just because someone he doesn't know entered the room. WHo's a good boy? Not many dogs. But this dog; yes, perhaps. |

He's half Chihuahua, half Shih Tzu. I would actually advise against a chihuahua unless you have a particular love for that breed, because he has a lot of anxiety and problems being nice to strangers, although I am sure there are exceptions. For me though, he is the greatest and most loyal best friend.
