living in the middle of nowhere im not in touch with any musicians, radio, music press, music stores, or people who listen to music. as such, she doesnt strike me as overrated.
i only heard my moon my man, and then i saw this. one of about 5 things i liked i heard this decade. |

so basically youre passing on feist for the exact same supposed reason that the people you deride pass on bjork or portishead.

I don't think she's that exciting live, but The Reminder is still an excellent disc

the reminder is much better than let it die
i think that's about as good as it'll get when it comes to feist though |

This performance wasn't amazing, but it represents the collaborative spirit of the indie scene right now, which I think is really cool. The fact that she was able to get members of The New Pornographers, Broken Social Scene, The National, Grizzly Bear, and Mates of State (am I missing any?) on one stage is pretty amazing. |

i like let it die slightly better than the reminder
apart from the fact that she has a nice voice, it's nothing great though |

I'm seeing her in a couple weeks and am looking forward to it. I like The Reminder slightly more than Let It Die.

are those bands any good?
i have pavement cd's but aside from that i havent heard much indie. ive spent the majority of my life not around a record store. indie people in my town were very fickle. the praise for bands is ridiculous, as such i never bothered checking bands out as they are usually dissapointing. |

Just got back from her show, it was awesome.
She played 20 songs and was really funny and nice and friendly. She rocked pretty fucking hard at times and then was so quiet for 4 or 5 songs that a guy in the front row fell asleep. |

I saw her Wednesday night and that show was pretty good also. Her voice sounds just as good live and she told some story about two people who drove her and her band around Philadelphia looking for a new guitar and them buying her bananas or something. There was also this very exuberant woman with a boa dancing during "One Two Three Four" and the ushers removed her but in the middle of the song Feist starting singing about how the ushers should let her come back, still in pattern with the song. And they let the woman with the boa come back, and then the rest of the audience stood up and danced along with her. It was pretty awesome.

Saw her solo 2 years or so ago, she's talented and pretty yes but I don't like 1234 or the boring, overplayed apple commercial featuring it. Lonely Lonely remix is good for chilling out.
