album is okay overall but this is pretty great and very different from what billy has done in the past imo.

it's got a huge shoegaze moment with that main riff, which I really like. some cheesy la-la-las, but overall good lyrics.

Hey man, I like Kill Hannah enough to recognize that the Glissandra riff is basically straight off of Chloroform okay.

KH isn't bad, but listening to SP and going "hey, this sounds like a kill hannah song" kind of is. It's a derivative of a derivative.

Oceania is cool though.

yeah I quite like it. Started 10 years ago with MBVs Isn't Anything and the EPs. Went on with Catherine Wheel, BRMC, Spacemen 3, Ride, Chapterhouse, Boards of Canada, Galaxie 500, Deerhunter, Crystal Stilts, Lilys and stuff like that. Recently I'm heavy into APtBS as you know

The sound you guys are talking about in Glissandra is like a Whammy type effect, right? So it's the successor of the Zero solo and the high pitched stuff at the end of that song, the squealy bits in Cash Car Star and the high whining sound in Dross... He's just using it in a way more controlled manner.
