But can you blame them for wanting to appropriate our culture? Some of the most enjoyable times in my adult life have been when I was at my lowest point, financially. There's a certain thrill to just scraping by and not having security and/or shelter be a phone call to daddy away.

Now that I'm at my most financially stable, and can buy things I want and not have to worry about my next grocery bill, I can attest that life is a lot more boring than it used to be. So to Elph and anyone else, I say keep "squatting."

Especially if you're going to keep eating Taco Bell.

Well, post-divorce (4+ years ago) my bank account was never overdrawn and the bills were always paid, but there were months where I literally didn't go anywhere but work and home and lived off of bananas, english muffins and peanut butter. I drank less (because I couldn't afford it) and spent a lot of time walking, reading, watching old movies and having sex. All of which were free.

I realize there's a certain romancing/rose-tinted glasses thing at play here, but that's kind of my point. It's more fun to "enjoy" being "poor" than it is to reach a level of success and realize there's no real fulfillment there. Nowadays, I have to work harder to stave off the depression and keep myself centered. Before, I didn't have a choice.

Dj'ing was legit and friends and I hopped the fence to the Cemetery and jammed acoustic guitars

I was p drunk at that point and so I hurt my foot (hurts so bad) and also lost my wallet which I had to find the next day

And now I'm waiting for the Greyhound back
