Default "We Only Come Out at Night" in Oscars commercial

I did a spit take...
"We Only Come Out at Night" was used very well in an iPhone 11 commercial (about night photography) that just played in the Oscars. good stuff

I just signed in to post about this, haha. I was like, "Wait, WHAT?!" Glad to see some mainstream love for the deep cuts...

"We Only Come Out At Night" might become SP's first big hit in over 20 years!

They're going to play this live while opening for G'N'R and get booed off the stage.

I feel like I love WOCOAN more now than I did when MCIS was first released.

I bet this does show up on the next tour. In 2008, they started playing "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning" after it was in the Watchmen trailer.

i recall, having bought the album from another kid at school who proclaimed it was "trash," looking over the song titles on the back of the cd case prior to listening and thinking, "ooh, this is going to be the cool dark song"

cue vaguely flatulent percussive noises and campy singalong

hm

and yet love the lush weirdness of the autoharp, how each strum moves from left to right in the mix

also the flanged fade-out with add'l subtle bright noises (see also, final synth twinkles of porcelina fadeout, right side)

This is one of those songs where Billy would now take off his guitar and make bizarre semaphore-like hand gestures while singing it on stage, which is good and cool
