It's the intention behind what you're laying down that comes across the most in a recording.
But at the same time, they slaved over Siamese Dream to make it sound perfect. and it was, and it was great

100% with you. had always hoped a post-TFE solo album from ol' bill.. i mean.. william patrick corgan, would sound similar to this.

we only have 1 song so far... but as the magic 8 ball says, "outlook not so good'

Red face

This didn't exactly burn the lies off my soul, though I admit it's strangely catchy

Anyway, gonna go back to listening to Carly Rae Jepsen exclusively

why and how does that piano sound SO goddamn shitty

it's like somebody programmed a midi piano part with all velocity at 127 with a mouse

this song might have been listenable if it didn't have the musical flavor of a backstreet boys song, with this fucking bold and compressed piano sound, matched with cheesy string pads from a roland synth. and if it didn't have such god damn awful fucking vocals oh my fucking god.

billy's vocal affectations are poking at my gag reflex and that vibrato is so fucking obnoxious and it's so compressed and brickwalled and mixed like he's Adele or something

think about this song in a lazy, lightly electric acoustic arrangement a-la "whir", with bc doing these vocals all breathy and boyish and cool like he used to do. it probably would have been a great song to listen to.

By the way...I listened to Robert Plant's solo album from 2014 for the first time recently...I was very impressed!
He's 69 years old and still sounds great.

meh.

i would rather have the conclusion to TbK.

the fact that he has decided not to release D4N tells me that BC doesn't think it's what people want from him or that it would be popular, and since he's wrong about everything post-reunion, that tells me that it might just have been the best thing he's done, post-reunion.

guess we'll never know!!!

shrug.

by the way, terrible song. sorry Bill, I guess I am living in the pass but you have no songwriting talent whatsoever anymore. not sure how you can just wake up one day and not be able to write a good song anymore but them's the breaks

oh god that'd be brilliant

Well it sounds better than the actual MCIS piano demo, but yeah point taken.

The piano on Adore was great too.

doubt it. I guess that's Augustus then.

I really like the song. Way better lyrics than Monuments, and a decent realization of Billy's aesthetic within a catchy piano ballad. That one weird note is classic Boz.

I keep seeing some folks mentioning Adore in regards to this new song... don't you dare lump this song into the greatness that is Adore. There is no comparison. Just because it's Billy and a piano doesn’t automatically make it Adore. I wish this song was Adore-level material, but it's more Teargarden-level than Adore.
