a lot of cliched phrases

"get out of this town"
"sleep tight"
"heart and soul"

There's nothing really *wrong* with them, but I think also seeing them on screen makes the simplicity stick out. Maybe I'm in the wrong mindset, but the emotion of the music is very strong, the lyrics seem sort of throw away (no offense!)

none taken! that's basically how i felt about them too.. but stuck with them to as i thought they had a charm to them. it's fair to say i am a guitarist first (my main band is instrumental), lyricist/vocalist second. a good amount of this stuff was also written when i was a lot younger, and because of the pandemic finally got around to just recording the songs.
