This is neither here nor there are far as current SP "goings-on" are concerned I guess, but I just finished Peter Hook's book about New Order last night & thought this bit about Bill recording with them was amusing/worth sharing

Upon finishing the novel, I'm starting to think just how raucous a D'arcy book on her time in the Pumpkins would be - she's kind of in a similar position as Peter as far as their relationship to their former bands and Peter was relentless

For what it's worth he did also describe a few times Corg saved his ass on tour, apparently he's a "pharmaceutical expert"

That’s some good stuff. Now imagine what D’arcy had to put up with for fourteen years. He’s a bully. Imagine how empowered he felt to act like that with his own band. You can hear a clip of him raging out in the studio at the end of the “Cinammon Girl” 1989 demo. He screams “how could you fuck that up??” like a maniac.

Throughout Hook's novel he referred to New Order's lead singer as "Twatto," wonder what D'arcy's "affectionate" nick for Corgan would be

Not really. I mean, his outbursts are well documented now. But his public persona is so soft-spoken and sensitive... We all know he's a dick, but it's still hard to imagine him acting all aggressive like some sorta tough guy.

We've all seen it with our own eyes in those different facebook messages. But it's easy to be a keyboard warrior. It's harder to imagine him just ripping into and yelling at some engineer or Sharon Osbornes little daughter.

It’s not hard to imagine at all. His public persona isn’t one of a sensitive guy. Not sure where you got that from. His public persona has always been whiny arrogant dick who talks shit about every other band.

He's whiny, sure. But you hear these stories of him yelling and swearing like some sorta tough guy and it just doesn't seem in his nature. I dunno. It's hard to articulate what I mean. The guy just doesn't come across as very intimidating to me so it's hard for me to imagine people putting up with that sorta behavior from him.
