I forgot about Jealous guy. God that song makes me cry. That is probably why John is my favourite even though he was a shitbag human

which reminded me of that nagging feeling about paul rubbing my fur up the wrong way.
just too nice, and well mannered. Too many sweet melodies and not enough car crash. If I visited his house my main concern would be whether I would accidentally leave a mark somewhere with my human filth |

meanwhile john's house would be covered in hair and cigarette butts, and I could move a bunch of wrinkled newspapers off a musty sofa and just make myself right at home

it's always so sad and unfortunate to see your musical heroes from the 60's during their years in the 80's
makes you realize things could have gone different, and it would NOT be pretty |

pink floyd also had the most heartbreaking transition into the 80's
it's actually a fascinating study; how the artist's access to a 'sound of an era' affects and compliments their sound. you know, like each decade has a particular sonic quality to it, because of the instruments, amplifiers, recording technology, practices, different outlook etc. some artists had the fortune of being born into a decade that really compliment their sound. imagine if the beatles had to start out in the 80's and have their production rendered through that particular 80's saccharine sparkle glaze. i know it's a dumb thought cause beatles affected how music evolved but humor me |

ok, so this thread is about your fav beatle, not who's the best musician in the beatles. i gotta say i always had a thing for john. the way he can sing Twist and Shout, for instance, makes me wet like a 60's teenage girl.
