One of these days i will log-in , see a press release (or whatever) by the Pumpkins (OK - Billy), be pleasantly surprised, choke on my sandwich and have to call Dr Heimlich.

Yeah I mean if you really wanted to hold out then you could get them dirt cheap on ebay in about a year although some obelisks may of been up people's arses during that year.

lol @ 10,000 being limited. Who gets the special obelisks should be decided based on the pre-order, first come-first serve basis.

I ordered it from Amazon's preorder, though I may cancel. Of course I will forget to cancel and then have a $30 four song CD of which I already own at my doorstep on April 27 without the 2 inch staff.

says vinyl single containing A new schlong, so I'm guessing the a-side is WWMM.

10,000 copies is limited. Sorry, but after 30 minutes this is still funny.
$30 x 10,000 x 11 = $3,300,000 in sales He is so indie. |

Oh I know he is probably not going to make much on these. I'd be curious to find out what the unit cost would be, as well as all the other related costs.
I'd also like to find out who is making these obelisks so we could launch a Netphorian attack. |

Interesting to see their official number for Z sales, 410,000, a lot of which came in the first week.

By definition, yes. But that's hardly scarce.

i rarely join in the billy bashing, but that obelisk??
i may just use it as a murder weapon, and then blame the songs on the CD for inspiring me |

Totally agree that the obelisk is utter tat. #2 will be a model of Bill in that gay robe from the official site. The rest will be various figures of infidels from Bill's history, D'arcy, Iha, Jim, Yelena, Love etc... Sharon Osborne will probably be in there.
I'm glad i'm not in the U.S. I don't think I could stomach seeing the 'TV/Lifestyle advertising campaign' and people knowing that I am buying this. Now that's Shame. Would lyric book/art print not suffice? |

"limited to 10,000 units in the US" - does this mean even more are being printed for the international market? Probably not I guess since it is being imported...

Insound is notorious for horribly wrong release dates. For a year a half they kept updating the 69 Love Songs vinyl release date.

Can't blame Insound for major labels (or bands who claim to no longer be affiliated with major labels) screwing around. I've picked up things from them a handful of time and have gotten no trouble at all.

It wasn't the band or the label screwing around. I have no clue where they were getting the info from since when I asked friends at Merge records they were very clear that there never was a release date until a few weeks ago when the pre-sale started. That's the good thing about Merge the label has a total of like 11 employees so it's easy to get a straight answer.

I know that they don't pull random dates out of their asses for releases that don't even exist yet. A distributor doesn't just decide that they're going to distribute something. They were given the heads-up first.

C. Love probably has one which she uses to pray for Tibet, wealth and Li-Lo. also, i don't see the 10,000 copy limit getting stretched too much at those prices - the press release only has Zeitgeist on 410,000 sales so far. Actually, considering how bone-shudderingly average it was, that isn't so bad. |

Also, Rider, why were you ordering from Insound (who is so bad) instead of Merge (who is so great) directly? ANSWER ME THAT.
