What does your BO smell like? - Page 2

My parents gave up smoking for me. When the Drs told those geniuses that yes, them smoking a pack a day each, inside, with the windows closed, was in fact responsible for my inability to breathe normally, they gave up.

Except my mum, who later took an evening job stacking shelves at a local supermarket, and smoked heavily there, which I didn't find out until I was 16. She hid it pretty well.

I loved smoking. My dad raged at me when he realised i was smoking, as a teenager. I think all those years of not being able to smoke so that I could breathe, being thrown in his face because now I was smoking myself, was nearly too much for him.

Kids are assholes, parents are assholes, we're all a bunch of degenrstes here

I think that's kind of an unfair expectation tho. "I gave up smoking for your well being as a child therefore you can never smoke!"
Of course i'm not a parent to relate to their feelings, but as a former smoker he should actually take solace in knowing one day you'd have to quit it for a kid too

Stupid relapse when my husband put me under stress on top of the newborn stress and c-section recovery stress but I showered and scrubbed til I almost bled before handling her after I had one. And it was like 2 cigarettes a day, if. And never inside. And now I've been quit again for 2 months or so and won't be going back. My health isn't the bestest (damn drugs) and I want to live to be her mom until I'm old. If I can stop, anyone can. My husband is still saying he's going to quit, about 8 months later. Once this bag of tobacco runs out

I thought we had the best motivation in the world! Sadly, I was the only one who thought that. I justified it for a while thinking "oh well he works outside the house (sometimes, for like 5 hour shifts) so he's got it harder." Lololol then he never got up to feed our daughter, which is necessary literally every 3 hours for almost the first 3 months, since they can't eat a lot at once. So against doctor's orders I climbed the stairs over and over to make and clean her bottle 4 times a night. And our daughter is tiny to begin with so I've never missed a feeding. I get upset if I'm an hour late even today. Wait what were we talking about?

I guess my BO smells like happiness but with a tinge of aggravation.
