Default awful things have been happening

i dont want to start a complaining thread, but some tragic things have been happening around me and my school.

on saturday a girl i knew from two of my classes died in a snow-tubing accident. she was a really nice girl and i feel awful for her friends and family.

on sunday a boy who my neighbors were close with fell down a flight of stairs and died. apparently he wasnt drinking or anything, he just tripped and fell. what a sad way to go huh?

just today i was walking back from class and a truck struck a boy riding his bike. the truck drove away and the boy was left unconscious on the road. the police came and began giving the boy cpr. i guess they revived him, because they put him on a stretcher and he had one of those air squeeze things on his mouth. his arm was limp at his side though, which made me really freaked out. i hope hes ok.

its been weird and sad here lately, i hope this is the last of the horrible tragedies this week.

Talking

Whenever death gets me down I just think about how all of my enemies will be dead some day and that brings me much joy.

very few people i've known personally are dead or have died in my lifetime...a little while ago though, i read that this waitress i knew from a restaurant i used to frequent had been killed in a car wreck on holiday in spain. she was really pretty, had one of those quintessentially hollywood faces with a glamorous sparkle to it. she also seemed to have a very fateful air about her as well, she seemed very shy but i knew she had been out with a string of very rough looking boyfriends in the time i knew her, and even though i didn't really "know" her, it still concerned me that was spending her time with guys like that. anyway, next thing i know she's on holiday with one of them, hurtling down the motorway at 150mph or something stupid and getting immolated upon hitting a palm tree. what a waste huh.

when i was a student, i was living across the street of a small and meaningless bar, where all the boozehounds, that worked in the area, came to get drunk after work. some also during work. on any evening, you would find the same 5 to 10 people there.
i visited this place regularly and they really liked my presence, and even moreso if i brought in some of my female friends. the dirty old men seemed to appreciate that. since they thought we were poor students, which we were, they bought us beer all night long. it was a win-win situation and everyone was happy.
one day, one of the regular customers was gone. and after a while the others started making jokes about how he went on a trip to a warm island and stayed there. they never mentioned it explicitely, but everyone knew he committed suicide. the suicide was kinda sad. but i found the fact that his mates from the bar, probably the only friends that guy had, were having a good laugh with his passing a lot sadder.
the end.

Yeah, same with crossing the street, but not to the same degree as going down a bloody set of stairs.

"She was one of those people who did it all and did it all very well," Linda Devino said of her daughter..."well, besides snow-tubing, yeah, she wasn't very good at that"
