Thank you sir!

Higher bit rate on the audio but I'm wondering if it was mixed as good as the webcast which sounds excellent.

Many thanks!
I would second the request for the webstreamed Gossamer to perhaps be placed on the DVD as an extra though. Forgive my ignorance if this isn't possible, but I haven't seen any of the show yet as I just got in from the pub, and from what I've just read on the board it'll be awful to see the show so cruelly chopped up at the end.

It's possible. It would also be possible to sync the audio from the webcast if it turns out to be mixed better. The verdict is still out on that since no one has commented who has seen/heard both.

I object all those editing proposals with the webcast. Keep sources seperate please. That way everybody can download exactly what they want.

thanks sebastian!!! this was a great show and it's now forever available in high quality thanks to you, shame about those mtv twats cutting it short, i mean who in their right mind would do that!! starlaluna, if you can provide your captured version of gossamer to someone who can author a new version of a dvd that would be great (if you're not able to do it yourself)

cheers guys!!!

Just so everyone gets it again: Sebastian requested that his source not be mixed with the webcast. If there is a different high quality capture (I know there is at least one VHS source, I'm sure lots of people got it on DVR), then it could be mixed with one of those if permission is gotten.

Yeah, and for fuck's sake - just wait with all the mixing stuff. Who knows what other (possible superior) sources might show up in the next days/weeks/months? Patience is a virtue!

I'm amazed the Sebastian gets the thing encoded to DVD in record time and people right away start asking him to edit it.

Fair enough re. not mixing sources - an understandable point.

Perhaps someone would care to chop out Gossamer from the webstream version and post that on its own? That way everyone would be happy. The speed of all these uploads is greatly apprieciated however, and by no means do I wish to be greedy. It's superb to have such a quick turnaround.

they're DVD files--will open in pretty much anything. If you have software that you use to play dvds, direct it to the VIDEO_TS directory and it should play like any other dvd

Don't be a douche bag. Nobody was asking Sebastian to edit it. People were merely discussing the viability of doing so because the people at MTV are cunt farts.
