depressing living the original sp era, now, only to remember it by videos, rather than the circus show they call sp now.

isnt it funny how billy likes to take all credit for sp, but, since he's been on his own, hasn't really done anything comparable to the original sp.

Nice thread derailing, good job.

Here is no Why is a better song, Hello Kitty Kat has a better guitar solo.

Tarantula doesn't exist then, and neither does Superchrist.

Here is No Why, it's riff-tastic!

When I listen to the solo from Hello Kitty Kat I immediately think of Hendrix. The Here Is No Why solo seems more unique. Less psychedelic.

I think I could comfortably live in a parallel universe where the songs Tarantula and Superchrist never existed.

I always thought the HINW solo sounded Weezer-esque. Also: what makes a solo "psychedelic"?

It sounds like psychedelic rock from the 60s. Something Hendrix would play.

I managed pretty well before I had heard it.

That's not even bad, and even if it was, the other 99.9% of the song more than makes up for it.

I always pretend I'm Joey Ramone singing that.

It's a difficult one but I'd go for HINW.

Kitty Kat, because it makes me want to jump up and down the moment it starts. HINW only gets me going for the second half of the song.

Both great songs, but Here is No Why is one of the very best.

Once of life's unanswerables: how has Corgan played HMM seemingly thousands of times since 2000 and hinw not once since 96?

That's really, truly depressing.

It's a simplistic rhyme the way Corgan has always had simplistic rhymes ever since he started writing, "I don't wanna fight every single night" is about as good as "life's a bummer when you're a hummer" fer crissakes. It's not as if he suddenly developed a predilection for simple mind-numbingly easy rhyming schemes.

"Planned a show tries and balloons, ice cream show see you in june." It's kind of a pattern.

So long as we're talking about Hello Kitty Kat and song lyrics: "But I aim to please that little girl inside of me, too"...WTF? Strange lyrics for such a "passive-aggressive" sound (well, that's how Billy describes it in the PI booklet, and I tend to agree.)

Here is no why by far! On my SP top.

Because:
1) One of the songs with more feeling and emotion Billy wrote;
2) It has the beautiful Billy's voice which made me fall in love by them, that smooth voice with heavy guitars are the recipe for me;
3) Crazy awsome guitar riffs, with feeling itself;
4) Epic song name.
( 5) And it has one of the best demos ever made on this planet )

HKK is pretty good too, the buzz guitars are authentic Pumpkins.
