Frances The Mute is one of my favorite albums. John Frusciante playing the first two guitar solos on L'Via L'Viaquez is nothing short of awesome.

SLN, your Frances reconstruction is awesome. It sucks there's no vinyl rips of The Widow single and it sucks even more that they cost around $70 on eBay. =\

Hey thanks!

I actually found two separate vinyl rips of The Widow single, both were of not-so-great quality (when compared to the rip of the album I had). :/ Oh well, maybe someday it will get done and I'll revise my reconstruction.

Oh man, please do!

It's a shame they decided to breakup. With Omar focusing on that Bosnian Rainbows crap... UGH. But at least there's the six albums and some b-sides. I am interested in hearing Cedric's solo stuff that he mentioned in his breakup Twitter posts though.

I really love Noctourniquet and Bedlam, but could tell the band was dying quickly. So not really unexpected.

The band was pretty much dead when Jon Theodore left anyway.
Omar turning down the drums on Amputechture was so bizarrely spiteful.

the problem with O & C is that they think they're cool, much cooler than you or these other knuckledragging plebes in their bands. lots of interviews point to this attitude, and their relentless assertions that they are taking rock music to strange new places when they just kind of spin the wheels on endless post-hardcore masturbation for the most part.

post hardcore masturbation is a great band name.

Have you seen Omar's youtube channel? He will reply to you and maybe answer questions, but he's been known to be a real assmonger to people.

This is what it sounds like when not a single person has said to a musician “Dude, this is a really bad idea” for about 5 years. Since apparently Omar and the yes men that make up his circle of musician friends seem to never stop recording every single retarded idea they have, this shit comes off like one long, self-indulgent stroke session that doesn’t have an end.

Omar, muchacho, seriously, it’s break time. Now HIT THE SHOWERS.
