MODS is there any way to turn off the stupid fucking "you must spread rep before
giving it to so-and-so cuz I get this fucking message every time I try to give rep. THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE HERE TO PROPERLY SPREAD.

This should not be a set number but rather a factor of the amount of posts per day. I've developed a complex logarithmic function to determine this factor if anybody wants to see my 23 page thesis and accompanying data spreadsheets...

Something that has always been a mystery to me is the red and green reps versus the grey reps. I've only ever been able to give grey reps, and I thought that green and red reps could only be given by those who had been here for a certain amount of time, but there are users who have joined long after I did who can give green and red reps.
I understand that there used to be a visible rep meter for each user which reflected how much green or red rep they were given, and influenced how much their rep was worth. |

Your rep power is proportional to your rep score. When two was first implemented with the vbulletin upgrade, everyone's rep was assigned based on their post count. It was wildly broken, Future Boy figured this out early on and used his brother Etsy's account to maximize their rep scores by pos repping each other while neg repping everyone else.
