I know lossy webcast audio>FLAC is a bit overkill but a friend put this together and I'm just passing it on.

What's the deal with Billy having that electronic device displaying the lyrics for each song?

The guy can't even bother to learn the lyrics for the show?

i heard OGILALA last night - in full. Well, it was disappointing. All the positive netphoria vibes had me excited... too many redundant lyrics, too many "dashboard confessional" moments, and some very cringe-worthy moments. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut he's playing acoustic GOSSAMER so i'll see y'all in TORONTO TONIGHT, TONITE!

Everyone in the orchestral pit area was going blind from the damn spotlights, Billy told people to go complain up back

Was in a good mood towards the end. Covered Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball, joked that from the response people liked it more than his while catalogue. Had a hard time getting through Farewell and Goodnight due to audience jibes making him laugh.

Good show on the whole. Heard a few people on the way out pleasantly surprised we got a few Machina numbers.

The lighting in Toronto was awful. Are those stage spotlights blinding the hell out of every audience on this tour? The venues solution was to take people from front row and move them towards the back lol. Willy was great in Toronto. The set list had some gems. I didn't even know what that wrecking ball song was until right now. Oceania on piano is wayyyyyyy more impressive than the studio version. Nevertheless, the sets with Starla, wish you were here, and gossamer I think are subjectively "better" than the ones like Toronto

2014:

"Billy Corgan turned down chance to work with Miley Cyrus

The Smashing Pumpkins' frontman Billy Corgan has revealed that he recently turned down the chance to work with Miley Cyrus - but that he wouldn't rule it out in the future.

The alt-rock icon, who just released the brilliant album Monuments To An Elegy, was speaking to French radio station Oui FM when asked about the 'Wrecking Ball' star.

"We quickly forget that she was once a Disney kid, and part of what makes Miley seem dangerous in the culture is because of where she came from," said Corgan. "If she was just some nobody who appeared like she is now, I don’t think people would have the same emotional response.

"The way I look at it is she’s very talented. As long as somebody’s talented, you can argue all day about should they do this should they not. But she’s very talented. She’s a very good singer. So at least I can stand back and say qualitatively that she’s a better pop star than 99.99% of them, even if I don’t like the music…"

He then spoke out about being invited to collaborate with her.

"Actually, I was asked recently to get involved. But the problem is — and this is nothing against her — but that whole world in LA is they want you to write a bunch of songs, then the pop people pick through: “I want that one, I want that one.” I don’t do that.

"If she called me and said, “Would you write a song with me?,” I would consider it. Because again, she is very talented, and it would be a cool thing to explore. But I’m not going to write a song and sit by the fire, hoping that Miley will pick my song over the next stupid song."

I wonder why he changed his tune on Disney kids? Did he not know back in 2000 that Britney Spears was also a Disney Kid?

Smashing Pumpkins said on Tuesday (May 23) they will break up at the end of the ye "There's nothing wrong inside the band," founder and singer/guitarist Billy Corgan said on Los Angeles radio station KROQ-FM. "But the way the culture is and stuff, it's hard to keep trying to fight the good fight against the Britneys," he said, referring to Britney Spears and other teen pop sensations.

but then again this happened in 2008:
