But I do prefer traditional rock bands who used electronics. It sounds different, not "better" but different.

Blasting Kurious Oranj today. One of the few Fall albums that really demands to be listened to from start to finish with no interruptions

you basically just want to go shut yourself off again, people are pretty sluggish & non-committal (maybe moreso these days?) obv that says nothin about actually listening & enjoying these sort of bands does it does kind of give you more of an understanding as to why one would want to be a solo artist (particularly solo electronic artist) in the first place |

Well usually bands benefit from having different people with different influences playing off each other. The friction between the members is often to the benefit of the music *cough* SP *cough*

Is Moby another one of those artists that has some sort of stigma attached to him that I'm unaware of because I just like the music

Moby had some good tracks. A lot of people turned against him and called him a sellout for allowing every track on the 'Play' album to be used in adverts, campaigns, etc.

You do realise I get paid $50/hr to find, select and play electronic music in clubs, right?

I know so many people who fancy themselves as a DJ. Seems like such a bunk schtick... Any guy with a laptop, scratch pad and a system thinks they're a DJ, and a lot of these guys actually do land gigs here and there and make a little money.... by standing there playing music. I can't wait until that whole fad dies off. If you're going to be a performer, at least make your own fucking music... Don't be lazy by playing someone elses track. |

I mean, I realize someones gotta play the music at the clubs and gauge the crowd response. It's a sweet gig, but it's not really some admirable talent. A lot of the music played at clubs is pretty much by the books anyways

Perverted by Language is supremely unappreciated even among Fall fans and I'm beginning to think it's 2nd only to Grotesque
That's my Fall opinion for the day |
