Default do you ever get fixated on a song?

I've been listening to this off and on for about five days now. I don't know why.

Yes. It's all a part of the obsessive/addictive personality.

Every year or so I go on an Adore bender. I'll listen to For Martha a dozen times in a row. fucking depressing..

for some reason lately, though I've been listening to The Aeoplane Flies High over an over again... it makes me want to smash things.

I don't say that in a negative light. It is what it is and I am relating.

after my grandmother died last year, maybe a month or two later I had adore on and for martha made me absolutely bawl (ok not quite but it made me cry)

if we're counting listening to albums over and over that's basically how i listen to music most of the time, or i'll make a youtube playlist with 10-15 songs and listen to it for days

I played peach plum pear ceaselessly for a few days while I learned to play it on piano. It was pretty brutal.

The only song I can ever remember doing this with is R.E.M.'s "Fall On Me"

I am very careful not to burn out on some of my favorite stuff. I haven't listened to Neutral Milk Hotel in years for that reason because they have so little material.
