Dude what is the next Smashing Pumpkins album gonna be called?
Will it come out in 2010? What will the album cover be. Will James decide to come back? .......... ............ |

It's a possibility. I think they could have the U.S wrapped up by December so January dates here should be fine. Hopefully they'll have side shows in all major cities.

Damn festivals. I'd rather they just toured like with TFE. Oh well, certainly better than nothing, and I've never been to BDO.

Pumpkins if anything are known for charging less rather than more for their tickets so I don't think they'd cost nearly as much as they probably paid a band like Metallica to go, who are lets face it, a far bigger band.
I'd say there is a decent chance of it and I really hope they do, if so i'll go to BDO and the sideshow and depending on my financial situation wouldn't mind going up to brisbane or goldcoast for a holiday and see them there too. |

True. I think I'll go anyway, just because I haven't for a few years.

its possible, but unconfirmed.
best idea is to not get excited, and see who lees and west pull out their ass on october 5th or whenever the first announcement is based on previous years, it will be a disappointment |

In Melbourne at least, what sideshow venue would be best now? Rod Laver I'd prefer not. Palace is gone and would have been too small anyway. It'd be either Metro or Festival Hall. A few nights at the Metro would be awesome but getting a ticket would be a bitch like it was with NIN

Big Day Out 2008 tickets are sold out, so I hope to hell they're not playing there, cause then i'm gonna have to pay 3x$$ for a ticket on ebay.
for those of you saying to come back in a year, the BDO is held in late January, and the first round of performers have been named already (RATM & Bjork are headlining). The 2nd round should be announced soon hopefully, so they can put me out of my misery. |

I don't think its likely they'll be announced in the second round, although I'd be gladly proved wrong. And then again, Muse was in the second annoucement last year weren't they and they're pretty big? Or am I just crazy.
I'll just be glad if i get to see them in any capacity in the next 6 months or so. |
