Decided to finally dive into disc 3 of the PJ20 set - some great stuff in there. I now fully see why people are pissed off about the lack of hope that they're actually going to be reissuing them. While the whole thing only maybe totals 70 minutes of material, there's some quality on there. Still haven't done disc 2 yet.
In other news - trying to convert a SP friend (he actually posts 'round here every now and then) to Pearl Jam. Planning on showing him PJ20 next week, and giving him a 2 CD mix I made - which was loosely based on AndySlash's, as discussed a few posts back... excited to see how it goes over. Disc 1: 1. Of The Girl 2. Got Some 3. Glorified G 4. Save You 5. Corduroy 6. Immortality 7. Sad 8. Down 9. Black 10. Man of the Hour 11. Given to Fly 12. Even Flow 13. Unthought Known 14. Present Tense 15. Long Road Disc 2: 1. Do The Evolution 2. Hail, Hail 3. Not For You 4. The Fixer 5. Gone 6. Alive 7. Once 8. Footsteps 9. Faithful 10. Dissident 11. Thumbing My Way 12. Just Breathe 13. Love Boat Captain 14. Rearviewmirror 15. Better Man 16. Yellow Ledbetter |

If you have room I'd add Inside Job somewhere - pretty unique, and I've gotten a couple of people to listen to the newer stuff based off that track.

Anybody going to any of the April Eddie solo shows? I threw my name in the lottery for Vegas and hit paydirt. Pretty excited, despite the fact that I saw him 2x last July. Really, it's just a great reason to go on a mini road trip with some friends.

So in rearranging some files on my computer, I somehow deleted a bunch of albums. Some of them are Pearl Jam ones I don't have the actual disc for anymore. Would someone mind uploading the following sometime for me? I'll give you extra posts or something in return, cause you know post count matters.
- Riot Act - Vs - Vitalogy - Binaural - No Code Fortunately my live shows weren't accidentally deleted ... |

Not sure how much of an audio snob ya are - but if you need/want any of those in Apple Lossless, can readily upload.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not a big audiophile anymore. I listen pretty much primarily through my iPhone so yeah ...

True, true... and part of me would feel pretty sleezy having taken $400 or whatever from a fan, only to have them really hosed at this point.
Great photo, what's the backstory there? One of those "Behind the Curtain" things that you just don't want to see. |

i'm just bustin your balls. i'd given up on a reissue- was completely surprised to see them in the webshop.
no idea about the picture. not too surprising, though- he's kept his nails on that hand shaped for fingerpicking the last few years. it does make me wonder what 1992 ed would think though. |

Did you see the second night? How was it? Did you record it? Vedder and Hansard...I want to listen to that!

Highlight of the night came when Ed got to talking about a charity work that he's been doing for a cellular disease that affects folks of all ages, but is especially ravaging towards little kids. One guy walks up, and slaps a $100 bill on the stage, which knocks Ed back. Then a lady stands up and yells that she'll donate $5K if he plays Black. He's caught, he really has no choice after acknowledging it. A few songs later, he and Boom did an amazing improv version of it, really moving stuff. Glen was indeed there, and came out and did a few songs with Eddie - did bass on Long Nights, then sang on Sleepless Nights, Society, and of course a killer duet on Hansard's "Falling Slowly". I didn't record it, but Sirius broadcasted it, and somebody captured it... so it's been getting passed around. Can be DL-ed here: https://www.yousendit.com/download/W...cWZQb0xSc01UQw |
