Default Bradford Cox and the"incident"

Listening to some sweet Atlas sound yesterday and thought about Bradford and Deerhunter. Had no idea there was an "encounter" with Billy. Anyone have an opinion?

Billy behaved like an insane person and his treatment of the dude was abusive and gross.

His story sounded legit but his apology to Mistah Corgan was embarassing, to be honest.

Humans can live for extended periods of time without clothing, shelter, food, air, etc.

They cannot last long without water, the source of all life on our blue world (95 percent of our bodies/the oceans is water!).

WPC was right to defend his right to existence with violence, if you will.

the great bald one allegedly threatened to sue him so he came back with some pathetic apology and said the whole thing wasn't true.

Billy Corgan has the right to defend his existence with violence, and he talks the talk, but his mouth is writing checks his body can’t cash, as proved when he went mano-a-mano with a little lady I like to call Bert McCraken.

Back when he was banging Kelly Osbourne that Bert sort of looked like a Kurt knock-off. That’s probably the reason of the mano-a-mano with Břlly.

It would appear that Mr. Bert got a size 13 Doc Marten to the stomach after tripping the Great Bald One. I'd say he came out on the wrong side of the deal.

Billy’s record peaked at #86. Bert’s record peaked at #87. Both albums disappeared after one week. They’re technically best friends I believe.

Yeah Deerhunter are arguably the band with the best reviews on Pitchfork lol, I like to think that's what pissed WPC off, to have some Pitchfork protégés lurking around.

They're not bad but i can't help but thinking it's these noughties indie bands and their unoffensive, balmy idea of rock that ultimately killed guitar music.

This was the Twisted Tea I was looking for. Speaking of which I happen to work in said convenience store chain where said 'Tea to da' head was administered. When I realized I went "hey that's one of OUR stores somewhere" and started laughing manically. Fortunately no customers were around. And sadly no one was assaulted with deadly tallboy in my store.

I like both noisy rock and chill music. they each have their contexts, and sometimes you can blend the two ala Catherine Wheel

It was when they opened for them in Asheville during the residency at the Orange Peel.

Yes, they took food etc. set aside for SP. BC was on a very strict diet at the time and would only eat certain foods at certain times (i.e. bok choy), so it was a bit of a problem.

And they also destroyed furniture, equipment, ruined the band space, were hostile and threatening to Orange Peel staff and openly insulted BC & SP when asked about their behavior.

It was not just water. They were absolute assholes.

I was there for the whole residency. I overheard / saw quite a bit. I don't know how much has come out after the fact in terms of the media, but the staff I talked to there (in line all day you talk to staff and hear about things) was very happy when they left.

Bradford was a dick to the fans, too.

Their set was good though.

Were Bradford and Deerhunter really assholes...

OR perhaps it was all really them playing characters they created and Major Billy (aka Zero... oh I'm sorry, Glass, or whoever he pretends to be after the fact to sound mysterious and prolific), Sir Thespian himself, just didn't get "it"?

Bradford fooled the king of fooling and ate his vegan plate.

Billy has a record of being an asshole as well, and assholes do tend to butt heads with one another.

There can be only one, and you never, ever eat their bok choy.

Bradford Cox had to look over all the dishes destined to His Imperial Majesty the Glass. That bok choy was too freaking salty so he went to get some water. Bad. Idea. That was in fact the Sacred Pyramid of VOSS water, the stargate in connection with the Samaiiinnn Samaiiinn we are now aware of.

CYR is in fact encrypted code. It means CRY and Bradford knows the reason WHY.
