Would love to hear this as well. It's an album with a few solid tracks - would like to hear what you've done with it.

i added a bunch of reverb to travels to try to get it warmer and wetter, especially the drums. kinda sounds muddy and bad now, and also i fucked it up such that my experiment mp3 replaced the actual track in my iTunes now

lol OP you probably could've left the link in the main post anyway. people upload full unedited albums to YouTube like it's nothing already

This is much better. Thanks OP.

djzap is Netphoria royalty.

edit: though you could go further on some tracks eg. That's the Way the vocals are still separate and floaty. And some tracks the backing vocals are now much louder than anything else in the mix eg. United States whereas it feels like they could also be lowered in line with the main vocal. Maybe a limitation of the software...

Also was Billy like.. way out of tune on a lot of this album?

Doomsday Clock
7 Shades of Black
Bleeding the Orchid
That's the Way
Tarantula
Stars
United States
Bring the Light
Neverlost
Stellar
Ma Belle
Zeitgeist
Pomp & Circumstance

This is the best ZG tracklisting btw.
Album falls off a cliff after United States in it's current state.

edit: Sorted cheers for the pms

Can anyone hook me up with the 'zeitgeist' song mp3? Is it on the All Goes Wrong OST? Does that exist offcially?

Yeah good fucking job dude. I listened to this album like every day in the summer of 2007. And even then, I'd still sort of wince every time Billy started singing. Something about it is just so off-putting and bad. But it's totally tolerable now. Say what you will about the songwriting, but the instrumentation on Zeitgeist has always been good, and now you can actually focus on that without being sonically kicked in the balls by Billy droning on.

Well, I'm impressed with this.

Can someone go a bit further and make it an instrumental album?

haha glad to do it!

there is indeed a limitation, as the software can't perfectly extract the individual vocal track, and the backing vocals are included in that same track, so there is no processing separately for the lead and backing vocals. I tried splitting it into mid/side as the lead vocal is mixed more mid and the backing vocals more to the sides, but when bringing down the sides channel and leaving the mid it just created bad sounding lossy artefacts, so the lesser of two evils was keeping it clean but the backing vocals still being that bit loud.

so so so much more could be done if we had any official multitracks, or even official acapella and instrumentals.

Superb work. Listened through a few times. It's certainly made it a much more pleasant experience - hearing things in there I hadn't heard before!

Yes, I agree it is a vast improvement over the original Billy yelling in your ears. I did notice the relative prominence of the Billy chorus in songs like Bleeding the Orchid, however, which somehow made that song harder for me to listen to. My best memories of Zeitgeist are still hearing early live recordings of it before the album dropped and ruined expectations.
