d'arcy+jimmy >>> b0lly+james
I don't know, but while performing Goodnight+Farewell live, d'arcy and jimmy come as way better and more consistent singers than billy and james. In their part, Billy was usually OK, but James was more often than not off, especially during the first chorus.
Jimmy is pretty solid, and it's cool to see how his confidence grew with time. I mean compare his singing during the first shows in January 96, and then take 960627 show - that's some improvement there! And d'arcy simply rocks - she actually comes as the best singer out of those four on the 960627 bootleg. She sounded very good already in April 1996, but here and there she was simply trying too much. On 960627 she got it just right. It's also cool how she was getting away from the album version for the good of the song, in that respect she seemed to be the most progressive out of them. jimmy and d'arcy beat bolly and james all the way. discuss. |

I bet that's the reason why B0lly still hlods back Jupiter's Lament take with all of them singing. Because it shows who's really the best singer in the band - the man sits behind the drum kit.

hmm im not so sure about that.on farewell and goodnight, jimmy and d'arcy definitely blew the other two away.no question.but as far as d'arcy goes, shes very hit-or-miss.she sounded very good on songs like "daydream"and "beautiful"but on dreaming, her voice was very raspy.it did'nt sound very good to me at all.james is also hit or miss.sometimes it sounds like hes amazing, and his voice could take on billy, others it just sounds like he should just play his guitar and shut up.
on farewll and goodnight at least, jimmy and darcy steal it.id like to hear jimmy sing more. |

I guess that d'arcy sounded so good since she was paired with Jimmy, so she felt like it's up to her to step up, while Jimmy alone because he wasn't singing at all before he was always trying to give his best. |

I've always thought they should do more tunes like this. D'arcy sounds great, Jimmy and James are very similar. Warm fuzzy feeling.

James seems to be really good at holding high-notes. I love it when Jimmy sings, it's awesome.
F+G from 2/6/96 is really cool. James almost starts rapping again. Billy fucks up the lyrics too. Woooo *wipes tear away*
