Those that want to stay in the dream, dystopic and frightening, and trusting others to translate it's harm and godlessness, simply will. No matter how many bells are rung. For their comfort is in their slumber, and they do not wish to be woken.
And I confess, there was a time where I thought I had the responsibility to ring those same alarms. But this, too, was a misunderstanding I'd held; of Love, of responsibility, and of a deeper affection for *all* humankind. For how can you believe you are a child of God, and do nothing?
So to trust in Spirit requires an incredible leap of faith, and since I have taken that step a few years back I live in a different dream, one where I am awake but still dreaming, knowing that I am both in the illusion as well as gentle observer of it.
Generally, I assume that those who can hear such a tune are awake, too, and navigating their own maze. But this does not mean I am unconscious of how such gnosis, or mysticism plays to a crowd that just can't hear; and that of a truth I don't claim possession, or even authorship of. For how could a true-true message, as true as truth can be, come from someone so flawed as I?
This is actually some good shit. I kinda like when he waxes-philosophically... Then again, I was one of the few people here who actually enjoyed his spiritual blog.

williampcorgan HAPPY BIRTHDAY to this young man on the left! @jamesihaofficial May today be blessed, my friend...

P.S.:

And speaking of those I've been fortunate enough to share the stage with, I see that it's D'arcy Wretzky's birthday today: So a big and happy B-Day to her from here! I'm encouraged to hear that she is playing music once more, and writing songs. As I've often said, no one had better musical discernment in our band than she.

As I head home, it's crazy to think that it was nearly 30 years ago that I began this wild and wooly journey, and that meeting James, then D'arcy, then Jimmy would alter all of our lives forever; for the better, I would argue.

WPC’S MUSIC MACHINE

Quote:
williampcorgan Thrilled to announce the debut of my exclusive @spotify playlist: WPC’S MUSIC MACHINE. For years, I’ve endeavored to start my own web-based radio station, so I guess you could say this is a small start. So please subscribe and follow, as each week I will amend the playlist to inclu*de songs I’d guess most would not be familiar with, and I hope in that you’d find artists you’d grow to love, too. For WPC’S MM will only feature those things that I love and am inspired by. LINK CAN BE FOUND IN BIO #wpc #wpcmm @smashingpumpkins #smashingpumpkins

On his Instagram last week he said that the Spotify playlist should have been done by then, but he was too lazy to finish it.

Sounds like the lyrics on the new EP will be great coming from a guy who wrote Mellon collie 24 years ago, but can’t summon the energy to make a playlist today.

He ran out of ideas on page 666 of his memoir. For it is hard to keep saying nothing.

Billy’s playlist is shit! His attempt of a witty list is a total failure…
“Gomper” from the Rolling Stones? HIS "Satanic Majesties Request”.

Tomorrow’s paint-by-numbers cover of the Beatles “Strawberry Fields Forever”, instead of their own song “Revolution”? Not a Beatles cover, and released a year before:

David Bowie’s “Word On A Wing”? The title track “Station To Station” was far more innovative than this piece of schmaltz.

Tim Hardin’s “If I Were A Carpenter”? Heard a thousand times (and better covered) from Johnny Cash alone.
The title track of this sampler “Hang On To A Dream” was a way better recording of his own renditions:

“Lady Starlight” from the Scorpions makes my ears cringe already at reading. Young Bill’s puberty dreams…
